The innovations city, located on a 400-hectare site just 1.5 km from the MKAD (Moscow Ring Road), has since 2012 been part of the Mozhaisky district of New Moscow. Skolkovo can be accessed from the Minsk and Skolkovo highways, while the Kiev motorway passes close by, and work is in full swing on constructing junctions that will make access to the innovations centre even more convenient. In addition, the Trekhgorka train station is located close by, from where there are trains to Moscow’s central Belarussky station. A multimodal transport hub from the direction of the Minsk highway links the main transport thoroughfares with the main entrance to the innovation city. In view of its location and the combination of its proximity to the business centre of the capital on one hand, and its attractive rural setting on the other, Skolkovo is one of the best places to create a city to house the innovations ecosystem.
